Pulsar 200 NS is what the next generation Pulsar motorcycle is called and it was unveiled in Mumbai today. Bajaj Auto unveiled the first generation of Pulsar in the year 2001 and launch of the last version of the Pulsar was in the year 2009. The company also showcased all the version of Pulsar bikes during the launch event. Pulsar 200 NS is offered with a 4-valve compression technology chamber and triple spark technology that results in better fuel economy and performance. NS stands for Naked Sport.

All New Next Generation Pulsar 200 NS Launched


Pulsar 200 NS is powered by a 199.5cc, SOHC Type, 4-Valve liquid cooled engine with triple spark combustion system with Independent spark control through ECU and an integral crankshaft type that generates 23.52 PS of power Max Power at 9500 RPM and 18.3Nm of torque at 8000rpm. The Bore and Stroke is measured at 72 mm and 49 mm respectively. The Fuel system on the Pulsar 200 NS is a Carburettor, UCD 33 offered with a paper element air filter.
As per the company they claim that the new Pulsar 200 NS can reach 60 KMPH from standstill in just 3.61 seconds and to 100 KMPH in 9.83 section and also can touch a top speed of 136 KMPH. The braking distance including both brakes from 60 – 0 KMPH stopped in 16.33 meters. The mileage is expected to be around 58 KMPL at 55 KMPH.

The Pulsar 200 NS is offered with an Exhaust TEC enhanced centrally mounted exhaust system. It comes with a pressed steel perimeter frame type. The New Generation Bajaj Pulsar is measured at 2017mm in length, 1195mm in height, 804mm in width and a wheel base at 1363mm. The ground clearance is measured at 167mm.
Pulsar 200 NS will directly compete against the Yamaha R15 and KTM Duke 200. The new Pulsar 200 NS should be priced around Rs 87000 (Ex-Showroom) and 1-lakh (On-Road) and the new bike will be available from April 2012.

Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS kerb weight is 145 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. The Front suspension is offered with Telescopic Front Fork with Antifriction Bush Dia 37 and the rear is provided with Nitrox Mono Shock Absorber with piggy back gas canister. The front and rear brakes of the Pulsar 200 NS is equipped with floating caliper Petal Discs. The Front disc of the bike is measured at 280 mm [Diameter] and rear disc at 230 mm [Diameter]. It gets the DC ignition system along with a 12V 8AH VRLA battery. The head lamp is HS1 35/35W and the tail/stop lamp is 0.3/3 W, LED.
Pulsar 200 NS front tyres is offered with 100/80 – 17, 52 P, Tubeless and the rear tyre is a 130/70 – 17, 61 P, Tubeless. The alloy wheel of the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is a new 10 spoke design. The front wheel is 2.5 x 17, Alloy and the rear a 3.5 x 17, Alloy.

At the moment, the bike is only available in Pune and the bookings are currently started taking bookings for the bike and the maximum delivery time is around a month. The booking amount of Rs 5000 is to book you bike.
